For my fantasy appliance project, I want to use the picture that I took of the antique Zenith radio. At first glance, the radio itself looks like the face of an owl.
So I plan to morph the radio with an owl face. I will draw the owl face to match it a bit better to the radio itself and to avoid copyright issues.
Radios emit sound waves while owls take them in to hear. Sound waves are extremely vital to owls in order for them to hunt their prey successfully. Their ears are large vertical slits that are bordered by flaps of skin on the front or back of the opening. The flaps can expand and contract in order to adjust the ear opening size. Their eyes are in the middle of a disk of feathers that are specialized sound conductors (their ears I suppose). Flexing these facial disks help channel sound waves to the ears so owls can hear even the faintest of sounds.
